Mr. Robbins started his Martial Arts career in 1972 studying Kyokushinkai under Sensei Katz.  Kyokushinkai emphasizes realistic combat, physical toughness, and practicality in its training curriculum.  These are attributes Mr. Robbins still applies in his Martial Arts training today.

After leaving Sensei Katz’ tutelage, Mr. Robbins, over the course of the next three plus decades, studied other Martial Arts disciplines including Goju Ryu, Shori Ryu, Ryu Te, and Shorin Ryu.  In 1989, Mr. Robbins began training under Sensei Wall and received a Black Belt in Shori Ryu in 1995.  Mr. Robbins now holds the rank of 5th degree Black Belt in Shorin Ryu.

Mr. Robbins was award the small double bladed axe insignia by Sensei John Hutchcroft in April 2008. The double bladed axe is the personal insignia of Master Koeppel.
