Sensei Kahabka began taking Kempo Karate when he was 14 in Burlington, Vermont 20 with Sensei David Quinlan.  Sensei Quinlan was a very ecclectic martial artist and stressed to his students that they broaden their focus on learning from different styles, not solely focusing on Kempo.  While at this dojo for 14 years, he studied Ed Parker Kempo, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Small Circle Jiu-Jitsu, and Wing Chun.  He received his 3rd Dan before moving to Phoenix.  Once in Phoenix, Sensei Kahabka started studying with Sensei Mike Wall at Paradise Valley School of Karate and has been a student as well as a teacher at the dojo for 6 years.  He received his 4th Dan in 2007.

Sensei Kahabka enjoys working with both beginner as well as advanced students.  His main focus is self-defense.  His goal is to make sure that all of his students are able to defend themselves on the street in real life situations.  He also teaches the “Fight Like a Girl”, women’s self-defense program all over the valley.
