It's a great dojo! I haven't been there in years due to moving however, when I was younger I loved it there. They teach you respect, discipline, and control. I remember all the great times I had there. I recommend everyone should at least try it out if you're thinking about it. Sensei Wall is a great sensei and person overall. Will help you learn what you need to protect yourself.

Sensei Mike Wall offers self-defense, sport, and fitness for adults and children. Children are taught self-defense appropriate for their age, as well as respect, while having fun, at the same time. Adults learn the self-defense methods of Okinawa's warrior class, while increasing their physical fitness; any Okinawan or Japanese karate stylist would love training at Paradise Valley School of Karate.

Is the Trial a commitment?

Definitely not! We want you to you get a feel for it! Try it out and see if it’s a good fit. A first class can be scary and isn’t a great example of how a class will feel.

Try out two weeks and if you want to continue we’ll be happy to get you set up!

I’m not very sporty or co-ordinated. Will that be a problem?

Not at all. In fact, many students starting in our adult Martial Arts classes would describe themselves like that before they started. So you will fit right in!

Give yourself some time, and you will be astounded at how much you improve! You’ll find that our very experienced martial arts instructors, are trained to keep their teaching simple. So even the most uncoordinated person will develop ‘ninja-like’ skills! Come see for yourself!

If I decide to continue, how long am I obligated?

Of course we hope you stay forever! We also understand that life is busy.

We don’t have long contracts. We ask for a 30 day notice. Let us know your plans, you’ll be charged for the next month, but we’d like to see you attend the month.

What other "fees" are there?

I know, we’ve been there. No one likes to get hit with a bunch of fees.

When you sign up, the only additional fee is your Equipment Kit. This is for items that you will need immediately in classes. The Kits are different depending on what age group you are in. We will be happy to go over the Kits with you when you come in for your first class.

You shouldn’t have to purchase any other equipment for at least 9 months, sometimes longer.
